A brand-new chessboard in the schoolyard

(01-11-2017)
Chess is fun and it trains your brain. Our studious niños del Arco Iris love playing games. And of course, they all want to win. Our loyal and handy Walter, head of maintenance since forever, came up with the idea to make a chessboard outside. Look how beautiful it is! From day one, the chessboard has been a ‘hangout’ for old and young. Here you can see Joaquim challenging the bookkeeper Ignacia to an exciting game of chess. Guess who won?

Foodball
The kids do not have to be bored during recess. There’s a foosball table in the schoolyard, a donation that has made us very happy. And you know the players have orange and red-white jerseys? A classic match: The Netherlands vs. the amazing Peruvian squad. The classes take turns in playing with the foosball game and whoever is playing can always count in numerous supporters.

Sapo
Have you ever heard of the game Sapo? A typically Peruvian game. Sapo literally means frog. You can best compare the game to shuffleboard. The kids try to throw copper disks through gates. Each gate has its own value. Sapo is great for improving coordination and concentration, but best of all, it’s fun!
