At the end of 2002, Helena started her family. It’s not easy raising such a big family – it takes patience, attention and love. Helena’s philosophy on life – love, respect, trust and attention for everything that’s good and fine in life – forms the basis.
The Family House
In Peru, poverty often goes hand in hand with alcohol abuse. There are many broken families and uneducated mothers here who are left abandoned, without work or income. They don’t have the resources to survive such a tough existence. Sometimes the mothers will leave their children or send them off to work or beg. Helena’s family consists of children who are doomed to have no home or future as a result of these tragic circumstances.
Their own path in life
The years pass, and the children grow up, choose their own path in life and adapt in their own way to life and society, as happens with all families. The majority of the children have flown the nest and are able to support themselves.
